THE HOTEL...

The Hotel is very European with eight genuinely handcrafted rooms on the second floor. To reach them you climb a beautiful spiral staircase that Eric and his crew constructed of rough-hewn heavy timbers circling to the second floor. (They also built a gently angled ramp at the back of the hotel for easy access if stairs present a challenge for you.) An excellent full breakfast is available in the dining room each morning for guest in the hotel.

The two front rooms are the most popular of the rooms in the hotel. Not only are they larger than the side rooms, each has French doors with inset stained glass windows that lead to a balcony with a sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean. These rooms are also popular because they're right across the hall from the three baths that the hotel rooms share (more on those farther down). Each has a double bed. These rooms are especially popular with couples traveling together or meeting at St. Orres. ($135).

The six side rooms have large windows overlooking either the entry garden to the north or the stand of pines to the south (where the wild turkies and quail like to stroll at dawn and dusk). They're smaller than the front rooms, though they also have double beds. They're just down the hall from the bathrooms. ($95)

RESERVATIONS INFORMATION

• Rates quoted are per night, double occupancy not including tax and, barring confirmed reservation, subject to change without notice.
• Full breakfast is included with all accommodations.
• Two night minimum required on weekends. Three nights may be required on holiday weekends.
• Check in: 3-7 PM. Please make arrangements in advance or call ahead for unexpected later arrivals.
• Check out: Noon.
• 72 hour cancellation notice required for deposit refund.
• 14 Day Cancellation Notice required for all Holidays.
• Cancellations are accepted by telephone during business hours 9am-5pm.
• No cancellations are accepted via email.
• No pets.
• “St Orres obligations for weddings and private events”
• The Solarium can be booked for closed parties of 10-12 persons. A cite fee applies.
